Knit material has always been a problem to Bias. Material stretch and edge curling have always made the operation very difficult.
Jesse J. Heap & Son has designed a sewing unit with a tensionless unwind and special edge controls to prevent material curling.
The automatic doubler also has a special edge guidance system to make sure the folded material is presented to the sewing unit evenly.
The system has three major components:
- Surface Feed Tensionless Unwinder
- Doubling Device with Edge Control
- Bias Sewing Unit
